The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms – with the alert covering the whole Alfreton area.
The weather warning comes into force at 9am tomorrow (Wednesday, August 2) and will be in place until 7pm the same day.
It warns: “Heavy showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop on Wednesday and may cause some flooding and travel disruption.”
The current Met Office forecast for Alfreton warns of thunderstorms late morning and again at 3pm.
