The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow later this week.
The alert covers much of the country, including the Alfreton area, and warns that “heavy snow has the potential to cause significant disruption” on Thursday and Friday (March 9 and 10).
The current forecast for Alfreton says that “periods of rain and snow” are possible on Thursday and Friday.
