Music festival to support youth activities

A charity, which supports youth activities in Alfreton, is hosting an annual fundraising festival this month.
The Melissa Grace Hatton’s Children’s Trust supports AYUP (Alfreton Youngsters Umbrella Provision) which offers a host of weekly activities for youngsters in the Derbyshire town.
The trust is hosting Mel Fest at Whiteborough Farm in Huthwaite on Saturday, June 29.
A spokesman for AYUP said: “Melissa Grace Hatton’s Children’s Trust are an amazing supporter of AYUP.
“Helping to keep the clubs running for the young people of our town.
“Help them to help AYUP. Grab your tickets for Mel Fest now.”
Music acts set to appear at Mel Fest, which will run from 1pm until 11pm, include: DJ Chris Bevans, ABBA Tribute, Freddy Mercury Tribute, Dale Weatherstone, Ariana, and No Mans Plan.
There will also be a licensed bar, food stalls, hair braiding, face painting and other stalls.
A spokesman for Mel Fest said: “MelFest is a family concert for all with every penny going to help local children. Eight hours of live music.
“Last year was a sell out event, get your friends together get your pitch for the day and enjoy the music.”
