A new fitness class for mums and their babies or toddlers is set to launch in Alfreton next month.
Sweaty Mama classes will take place on Thursday afternoons at the Genesis Centre, on King Street, from August.
The classes are described as “a fab, fun workout with your child”. The aim is to help mums bond with their young children while taking part in exercise.
The classes in Alfreton will be delivered by Amber Davies, who will also run Sweaty Mama sessions in Belper, Heanor and Matlock.
She said: “I’m looking forward to meeting lots of new mamas in the area and helping them to gain their fitness back whilst also building relationships and stronger bonds with their little ones.
“Mamas can expect a fun workout to different music with a range of movements to encourage strength back in their core and whole body after having their littles ones, as well as before they have their little ones.
“The benefits of Sweaty Mama classes are that mamas can build their strength back and feel more confident and comfortable in their post-partum bodies.”
Classes can be booked in six-week blocks, costing £35.
Classes are suitable for babies aged six weeks and over up until pre-school age.
You can find out more information about the classes by visiting the Sweaty Mama Amber Valley Facebook page.
