Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust is looking for volunteers to put themselves forward to become a governor and represent the voice of their local communities.
The trust currently has eight vacancies, including the seat representing Amber Valley, Erewash and South Derbyshire.
Anyone can put themselves forward for election but all prospective governors must sign up as a member of the trust first.
Becoming a member of the trust is free to do and can be done online here.
Julie Houlder, chair of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Foundation Trust, said: “Our Council of Governors represents the voice of local people in holding the organisation to account.
“All our governors bring different perspectives and experience to the role and collectively ensure we are working effectively in the interests of the communities we serve.
“Our governors add great value to the work we do and I hope people will seriously consider putting themselves forward for the role.”
Nominations close at 5pm on Friday (August 18).
