There were Santas – and Elves – galore for an annual festive toy run which took place in Derbyshire this month.
The UpRight Christmas Toy Run rode back into the county on Saturday, December 16. Gifts had been collected at a multitude of drop-off points across Derbyshire – including in Alfreton.
Upright Derbyshire, which is an award winning motorbike road safety campaign for across the county, hosts the event annually and it sees lots of gifts being donated to the local charity Safe & Sound.
A spokesman for Upright Derbyshire said: “So the 2023 UpRight Toy Run is completed for another year and this year has been our biggest and best so far.
“It was amazing to see so many bikers there for the event and the amount of people and bikes in fancy dress made it an amazing sight to see.
“The amount of gifts collected was unbelievable and will help in making Christmas enjoyable for the children who are supported by Safe & Sound.”
The spokesman continued: “We at UpRight would like to take a minute to thank everyone who attended and made it so special but also everyone who donated a gift for Safe & Sound.
“I know that the staff from Safe & Sound were absolutely made up with your generosity.
“We would also like to thank everyone who worked to make the event a success, the list is too long for me to mention everyone but you know who you are so thank you.”
