Derbyshire Police have been visiting a supermarket to raise awareness of an alert system to shoppers.
A spokesman for the force posted up these photographs to the Alfreton Police SNT Facebook page on Monday, April 15, and stated: “Derbyshire Alert sign ups and crime prevention down at Tesco today.”
The Derbyshire Alert scheme notifies residents of crime alerts from police in their local area, news from local councils, neighbourhood watch updates, and also warnings about scams and fraud.
Registration for the app is free and not only allows residents to receive messages about their local area but also allows them to feed back information to their local policing teams.
