Poundstretcher is set to open a store in Alfreton town centre, creating new retail jobs.
The new shop, in Central Road, will officially open on Sunday, May 22 at 10am.
Customers who visit the grand opening will receive vouchers for 50 per cent off their basket when they spend £5 or more, and there will also be more than £250 worth of vouchers given away on the day.
To mark the opening of the new shop, Poundstretcher will also donate £200 worth of vouchers to the South Normanton Area Foodbank, which operates at Alfreton House and St Michaels Church Hall in South Normanton.
Gerry Loughran, property and legal director of Poundstretcher, said: “We are pleased to be opening a brand new store to the people of Alfreton with lots of fantastic branded products, all at bargain prices, and look forward to opening another 50 stores over the coming months, creating over 1,000 new jobs.”
Nadir Lalani, executive chairman, added: “Our team is working hard to deliver an outstanding shopping experience, great service, and an enjoyable retail environment for all our new customers.”
Poundstretcher is recruiting for a store manager, deputy manager and general sales assistants to work at the store.
