An Easter themed raffle has helped raise much-needed funds for a Derbyshire village carnival.
The 2024 Newton Carnival is set to take place on Saturday, July 13.
The volunteer team behind the event are celebrating 25 years of the community extravaganza.
There is a full programme of other family events lined up by the carnival team to take place throughout the year to further raise funds to be able to hoist the main event in the summer.
One of those recent fundraising events was an Easter raffle which saw volunteers sell lots of tickets for £1 a strip of tickets.
There were lots of prizes up for grabs including large cuddly toys, a fondue set, and lots of other chocolate treats.
The raffle was recently drawn and a video was live streamed of the event which can be seen on the carnival’s Facebook page.

A spokesman for the carnival team said: “Thank you for you support. We have raised £412 towards this year’s carnival.”
