A council has joined forces with a community group to raise awareness about dementia.
Ellie Fessey runs regular Singing for the Brain sessions at The Junction 28 Church in South Normanton, Pinxton Village Hall, and at The Bridge Baptist Church in Sutton In Ashfield.
She also offers her Sing Along With Ellie sessions in allotments in South Normanton on a weekly basis too.
Now, Ellie has teamed up with Pinxton Parish Council to organise an event all about dementia.
It will be taking place at on Saturday, May 25, from midday until 11pm.
Ellie said: “Sing Along with Ellie and Pinxton Parish Council are super excited to announce this year’s Dementia Awareness event at Pinxton Village Hall.
“This is a free event and everyone is welcome.
“There will be a tombola and raffle. All proceeds along with any donations will go to the running costs of our groups.
“Last year’s event was a huge success, so we have another jam packed day of music to celebrate the power of music for people living with Dementia as well as the effect it has on everyone.
“Can you imagine a world without music? No way! Life is better with music, so please come along join and support us on this very special day.”
