A World Record breaking cycling couple will be hosting a talk about their challenge at a Derbyshire venue this week.
Alfreton CTC and South Normanton Cycling Club are hosting a free admission Evening with SteLa Tandem, Guinness Tandem World Record holders at the South Normanton Post Mill Centre on Thursday, November 23, at 7pm.
On June 5, 2022, Derbyshire husband and wife team Stevie and Laura, known as ‘SteLa Tandem,’ set off on a record-breaking ride around the planet.
The couple, who hail from Derbyshire, were in for the adventure of their lives and faced many challenges along the way. Through grit, teamwork and determination they arrived back successful 179 days 12 hours and 26 minutes, later setting a new Guinness World Record.
For their event at Post Mill Centre on Thursday, SteLa will present a talk followed by a Q&A on their record breaking ride and copies of their new book will be available to be purchased and signed.
The evening, which will include a bar available, is free but places must be booked by using the EventBrite link: here
