A number of planning applications have been submitted to the three local authorities which cover our area during the month of December.

Here’s a round-up of the applications for the DE55 area which have been submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council:

AVA-2023-0906: Park Cottage, 39 Manor Road, South Wingfield, Alfreton. DE55 7NH. Insertion of a new ground floor window to the front elevation, replacement of front/side window and the insertion of bi folding doors to the side elevation of the barn conversion with solar panels on the roof slope above. The staircase and first floor door/side light to the rear of the barn conversion are to be removed and replaced with double doors serving a balcony with balustrading. The addition of a ground floor window to the rear elevation of the barn conversion (may affect the setting and character of the conservation area and the setting and character of a listed building).

AVA-2023-0893: 9 Parkside, Somercotes, Alfreton. DE55 4LA. Second floor domestic extension, single storey extension to rear of house, porch canopy to front of house and off road parking to frontage.

AVA-2023-0785: 7 Gordon Road, Swanwick, Alfreton. DE55 1RJ. Reserved matters application for the construction of four dwellings following the approval of outline application AVA/2020/1169. Matters include layout, scale, appearance, landscaping and access. EIA not required as per origin application

23/00647/LAWPRO: 16 The Chine, Broadmeadows, Pinxton. DE55 3AN. Change of Use of existing seven bedroom dwellinghouse (C3 Use) to Children’s Care Home for three Children (C2 Use).

Ref. No: 23/00634/FUL: Roadchef, Tibshelf Services, M1 Northbound, Newtonwood Lane, Tibshelf, Alfreton. DE55 5TZ. Extension of HGV parking facilities and the re-location of the coach park.

And here’s a round-up of the applications for the DE55 area which have been submitted to North East Derbyshire District Council:

23/01089/FL: Land to the North of Stretton Road, Morton, Alfreton. DE55 6HA. The installation and operation of a renewable energy generating station comprising of ground-mounted photovoltaic solar arrays together with inverter/transformer units, BESS units, control house, substation, onsite grid connection equipment, storage containers, site access, access gates, internal access tracks, security measures, other ancillary infrastructure, and landscaping and biodiversity enhancements (Major development/Affecting Public Right of Way).

23/01078/FLH – 7 New Street, Morton, Alfreton. DE55 6GR. Application for porch extension to front, single storey extension to rear with first floor extension over existing rear extension (Revised scheme of 22/01029/FLH).

23/01072/FLH: Rose Cottage, Church Lane, Morton, Alfreton. DE55 6GU. Proposed single storey side and rear extension with new porch to the front (Conservation Area / Affecting setting of a Listed Building).
