Tuesday, April 2, is the date for the 2024 Higham Hill Race.
Starting at 6.30pm, from The Greyhound at Higham, Main Road, Alfreton, it is a four mile, figure of eight loop, part road, part trail race.
Prize giving will take place at the end of the race, which is part of the NDRC Club Challenge.
This year’s charity which is set to benefit from funds raised from the event is AYUP (Alfreton Youngsters Umbrella Provision) which is a volunteer run initiative that offers a multitude of weekly activities for youngsters in the Derbyshire town.
A spokesman for AYUP said: “A big thank you to Higham Hill Race 2024 who have chosen to support us with fundraising from their event.
“Check the race out and if you can, take part and share.”

AYUP (Alfreton Youngsters Umbrella Provision) is a CIC (Community Interest Company) which was set up in July last year and the current weekly activities it offers includes:
Funding the Blend Outreach Youth Project to be out and about engaging the youth in activities in town on Monday evenings. This starts off at 3.30pm from the Welfare/Skatepark at the David Nieper Academy.
Sports Club Night for 11 to 16 year olds at Alfreton Leisure Centre on Wednesdays between 4pm and 6pm.
Funding the Old Farm Bus to put on a youth club for 11-17 year olds at Mansfield Road Community Hall every Friday between 5pm and 7pm which includes games and activity workshops. There is also a Dungeons and Dragons Club which meets at the Community Hall at 5pm on Fridays.
AYUP relies on donations from the local community and has largely been made possible by the fundraising efforts of James Simpson, who raised thousands of pounds to support youth services in the town since last summer.
