Kronos Solar have appealed Amber Valley Borough Council’s decision to refuse the 185 Acre Solar Farm between Alfreton, Oakerthorpe and Shirland. So, unfortunately, the countryside that we all love so very much and fought to so hard to defend is again under significant threat.
We’re not giving up our fight and our group will be defending the last remaining open countryside accessible to the people of Alfreton at the Planning Inquiry. We will be on equal footing with Kronos and Amber Valley Borough Council.
To give us our best chance of fighting this appeal and saving our countryside for future generations, we need to raise money to help with professional support. Unfortunately, such representation does not come cheap – and we need your help!
There are a couple of ways you can do just that – you can donate via our just giving page https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/savealfretoncountryside, or, if you’d prefer you can donate direct to our bank account – just send us an email or message our Facebook page and one of our lovely team will help.
We are also planning to hold a raffle, so, if you or the local business you work for would like to help please donate a raffle prize.
Tickets, hampers, vouchers, products you sell or your business sells, day trips, meal vouchers, wine, smellies – basically anything new that you’d like to win on a raffle!!
We can collect in the Alfreton area, just send us an email to socenquiries@gmail.com or message our Facebook page and someone will get back to you.
Thank you ?
