Search for Astra driver after crash leaves motorbike rider in hospital

Police are searching for the driver of a silver Vauxhall Astra involved in a crash which left a motorbike rider in hospital.

The collision happened on Greenhill Lane, Riddings, outside the entrance to Nisa and the Red Lion car park at around 3.30pm on Monday (April 18).

An appeal for information issued by Derbyshire Constabulary said: “The driver of the Astra did not leave his details but is described as slim with dark hair and wearing a green t-shirt.

“There was a small child in the car. The car drove off toward Leabrooks.

“The motorbike rider remains in hospital with injuries to his ribs, lungs and collar bone.”
