Amber Valley residents can now benefit from a newly installed payment terminal as the borough council’s main reception opens its doors after a major renovation.
The reception at the Town Hall in Market Place, Ripley, has re-opened after being closed for refurbishment throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Upgrades, which had been delayed due to Government guidelines and restrictions during the pandemic, include the improvement of the council’s interview room facilities.
And Amber Valley residents who prefer to pay for their council services in cash or in person, can take advantage of the new payment machine, which is able to handle payments for council tax, business rates, housing benefit overpayments and invoice payments.
The Town Hall reception is now open from 9:00 to 16:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and from 10:00 to 16:30 on Wednesday.
