A singing group in Derbyshire is now set to meet in the great outdoors.
Ellie Fessey runs regular Singing for the Brain sessions at The Junction 28 Church in South Normanton, Pinxton Village Hall, and at The Bridge Baptist Church in Sutton In Ashfield.
She will now be offering her sessions in allotments in South Normanton, thanks to the community banding together to make this additional project come to fruition.
Ellie said: “We are super excited to announce another community project on offer for our group members.
“The lovely people from South Normanton Allotment’s have approached us about having the use of their wonderful Community Garden at their Allotment site.
“Along with their very kind offer, the also lovely councillor Louise Fox for South Normanton is supporting us with this project.
“From March 8th, our members will be able to plant and grow vegetables and flowers or just come along every Friday morning to potter, plant or just enjoy the great outdoors at this lovely place.
“So with Spring just around the corner, what a fabulous activity to look forward to and enjoy.”
Ellie added regarding cllr Fox: “Sing Along with Ellie would like to thank Cllr Louise Fox for South Normanton for her continued support for our groups.
“For those of you that do not know, this lovely lady funds the room hire for the entire year for our South Normanton group, she also has helped secure funding for the arts and crafts materials we use, which is a huge help and greatly appreciated by myself, our volunteers and all of our group members.”
