This week’s heavy snow has delayed the reopening of Crich Tramway Village.
The local attraction had been due to reopen for the season on Saturday (March 11) but the site is covered with thick snow and trams are unable to run.
A decision about when to reopen Crich Tramway Village is yet to be made and will be weather dependent.
Dr Mike Galer, general manager, said: “It is hugely disappointing for us due to all the hard work from our salaried and volunteer workforce to get [ready] for opening and I’m sure, for our visitors, but safety is paramount and the site is not currently accessible.
“We hope to reopen for the new season as soon as possible and will keep the public informed via our website and social media.”
