Somercotes Parish Council is looking to fill two councillor vacancies following last week’s local elections.
In order to become a councillor, applicants must have lived or worked in the parish for at least one year and live within three miles of the parish boundary.
Applicants must also be on the electoral role.
Application forms are available from the council clerk.
All applicants will be invited to Somercotes Parish Council’s annual meeting on Friday, May 19. They will be given five minutes during the meeting to introduce themselves, give information on their background and explain why they wish to become a councillor.
The closing date for applications is Friday, May 19.
