Students from the David Nieper Academy in Alfreton have been visiting another Derbyshire school to take part in sporting activities.
‘Fives’ and Hockey were on the cards for the Year Seven’s trip to Repton School recently.
Year Seven student Kai Hopkins said of the sporting trip out: “The first thing we did when we got to Repton was play fives; it was a game held in a brick building where you get a mitt and hit a tennis ball.
“Next, we played indoor hockey. That was so good and a lot different from outdoor sports. The teachers were very good at it.
“Then we had lunch, and it was the nicest pasta I’ve tasted, but don’t get me started on the brownies. They were the best!”

Kai continued: “The facilities were amazing, including the hockey pitch, which was a water-based astroturf.
“Thank you to Repton School for enabling us to do this. I hope to visit again soon.”
