Part of the road between Newton and Tibshelf is set to close for 10 days next month.

Newton Road will be closed between the junctions with Shetland Road and Sunny Bank from April 18 until April 28.

Specifically, the temporary road closure notice says the closure will be “between a point 80 metres south east of its junction with Shetland Road to a point 35 metres south east of its junction with Sunny Bank”.

The closure is to allow for the installation of high voltage cables.

A diversion route will be in place throughout the works.
