A play area in a Derbyshire village is set to have a revamp this Summer.
Tibshelf Parish Council has recently announced that the works at Shetland Road Recreation Ground are due to be completed by this year’s Summer holidays.
A spokesman for the council said: “We are thrilled to announce a company has been chosen to install our new and expanded play area at the Shetland Road Recreation Ground, paid for with Section 106 money.
“The existing play area will have new equipment and a multi-play unit, while outside will feature a zip-line, MUGA, teen shelter, climbing net, roundabout and older child’s swings.”
They continued: “It is designed for different ages and is inclusive.
“The work should be completed by the Summer holidays this year.
“This project was selected after feedback from the Section 106 consultation we did late last year.
“Thank you to everyone who responded.”
