A young swimmer has been recognised as the Swimmer of the Month by the leisure centre where she attends.
Iris Maskrey has been announced as the Swimmer of the Month for February at Alfreton Leisure Centre.
Liam, at the centre, said: “Iris used to suffer with confidence mainly. She used to get upset whenever she struggled with something.
“Now she gives everything a go, no fussing and she’s so close to doing everything now.”
Liam added: “I have honestly not seen a child so happy about winning the award as Iris, she was literally buzzing which we love to see.
“Keep up the great work Iris.”
