Our website is designed to celebrate and showcase all that Alfreton, South Normanton and the surrounding areas have to offer – but there’s so much going on and we need your help to do this!
You can use this feature to share whatever information that you’d like with us – news, details of a local event or even a personal celebration such as a special wedding anniversary or birthday.
‘Tell Us Your News’ is really easy to use – and it’s free.
All you have to do in order to use this feature and share your news with us, is register on the website and set up your login details.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll be good to go and can share information to be posted on the website whenever you like.
We want The Spirit of Alfreton to be a hub for local information. That means that anybody from the local community – individuals, businesses, schools, sports teams and more – are invited to use our website to share their news and information.
We’d also love to see your pictures and video of Alfreton, South Normanton and the surrounding areas. There’s no story too small. If you see something unusual happening, why not take a quick snap and share it with us? Or if you take a really nice picture on a walk, for example, we’d love to see that too.
And we have a What’s On calendar – the place to find out what’s happening in and around Alfreton. You can now add the details of your event straight onto the calendar here.
We’re also here to help strengthen the voice of the local community, so let us know if there’s a particular issue that you’re concerned about or if you would like us to help raise the profile of something happening around the town.
Our audience and reach is growing daily. Let’s work together and keep the community up to date with what’s happening locally!
