If you’re planning an event in the Alfreton area then you’re probably going to want to take a look at what Those Finishing Touches has to offer.
The multi-award winning events company has a showroom in South Normanton but dresses venues in locations across the East Midlands, including at Alfreton Hall, and South Yorkshire.
From fully stocked doughnut walls and personalised table plans to balloon garlands and chair sashes, the company has everything you need for your event – whether it’s a wedding, birthday party or baby shower.
Sarah Clipston, who runs Those Finishing Touches, explained how her business came to life: “We started off 10 years ago when my friend got married. It just escalated and snowballed from there.
“I did my brother’s wedding, then I did my friend’s baby shower and now it’s become my full time job.”
Sarah offers consultations at her showroom on South Normanton’s High Street, where potential clients can also view the many different decorations and items she has on offer.
But she goes further – she also offers to show you how your chosen decorations will look at the venue.
Sarah said: “We do a mock set up at the venue. Somebody was getting married last week – we met them at their venue, we did the chair covers at their venue and we did three or four different centre pieces so they could see all the different options.
“It helps them visualise it. If you want to change and tweak things it gives you the opportunity to do so.”
In May, Those Finishing Touches won the Venue Stylist award at the I Do Magazine Wedding Awards.
The company won another award in October when it was named the regional winner of the Wedding Venue Stylist Category at The Wedding Business Awards.
