David Nieper is currently recruiting for two full-time roles within its knitwear department.

The available roles are knitwear linker and knitwear trainee.

The job adverts are as follows:

Knitwear linker

  • Permanent full-time position (Monday to Thursday 7am to 4pm and Friday 7am to 12 noon – 39 hours per week)
  • Family business with five sites in Alfreton
  • Expanding international fashion business

Use your point-to-point linking experience to be an essential part of our friendly knitwear team. Enjoy using your linking skills to produce premium quality knitwear and contribute to the growth of our knitwear business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a talented knitwear linker. Skilled, accurate and with an eye for detail, you will enjoy working at a fast pace in a friendly workroom environment. Good attitude, commitment to high standards of work and enthusiasm for creating luxury fashion are also important. Experience of working with pre or post-dye knitwear would be an advantage.

Knitwear trainee

Enjoy learning new skills and build a career producing high quality knitwear. Learn about all production operations and train to become a value member of our expert and friendly knitwear team. We are looking for a practical and hard-working individual to help make our premium quality knitwear.

Experience of working in knitwear and linking would be an advantage, however, full training is offered in how to operate our fine gauge linking equipment. Learn about quality control of our knitwear range and enjoy working with fine yarns to produce luxury ladieswear. This exciting opportunity would suit an organised and practically gifted individual with an interest of fashion. Good dexterity and the ability to carry out routine, detailed work at speed are important.

You don’t need to have previous knitwear experience and will be paid a good wage whilst you train. Production experience in a workroom would be helpful but most important is a willingness to learn, good hand to eye co-ordination and a strong eye for detail. Experience of working with pre or post-dye would be an advantage.
