David Nieper Academy is recruiting for a science technician.

The role, due to start in September, will be permanent and comes with a salary of between £19,754.70 and £21,010.62.

Explaining the role, the job advert says: “To provide highly effective support of science across all key stages, contributing to the ongoing development of the faculty. The faculty consists of a head of science, a lead practitioner and five science teachers, and a full-time science technician.

“As part of our continued growth, we will be offering A level Biology and Chemistry from September 2022. We are seeking an additional technician to support us with this move to A level science.

“We are happy to consider either part-time or full-time by mutual agreement with the successful candidate.

“The science faculty is very well resourced with state-of-the-art laboratories and equipment. All labs have 74-inch Interactive Promethean TVs.”

According to the job advert posted on the academy website, it is essential that applicants have gained an A level – or equivalent – in Biology or Chemistry.
