A community group in a Derbyshire village is appealing for volunteers to help them run children’s activities throughout the 2024 Summer holidays.
Stonebroom HAF organises a host of activity afternoons for youngsters to enjoy throughout the school summer holidays.
A spokesman for the organisation said: “The team were a little deflated after the cancellation of our Winter Wonderland event at Christmas, even though we did manage to get the hampers and toys.
“However you can’t keep a good team down for long. We will soon be planning our third summer of activities.
“What we can tell you now is that sessions will be held on Tuesday and Thursday throughout the summer holidays between 1pm – 4pm.
“They will take place at various locations within the village, keep updated by following us on Facebook.”
The spokesman continued: “These events are free and cater for all ages but you must sign up when registration opens just to ensure we know how many numbers for safety reasons.
“Mothers meeting we also have plans for you this year.
“Last but not least, if you would like to join the fabulous team of current volunteers, please contact us via messenger. One hour, one session every hour, every session you can help make a difference.”
