Residents and staff at a care home in Derbyshire have been celebrating England’s Patron Saint.
The St George’s Day celebrations took place yesterday (Tuesday, April 23) at The Meadows Care Home in Alfreton.
A spokesman for the home said: “Happy St George’s Day!
“Today at The Meadows we celebrated in style to honour St George’s Day.
“Residents have been super busy decorating the home with flags to mark this day.
“We all enjoyed a delicious lunchtime with a traditional homemade Pie and Victoria Sponge.”
The spokesman continued: “We were also joined by both Owen and Tanya who came to entertain us for the day with some great singalong songs .
“Thank you for celebrating this day with us all and we wish you all a Happy St George’s Day however you have chosen to spend it.”
