A youth musical theatre group is preparing to perform Matilda at the David Nieper Academy in Alfreton.

Rising Stars Musical Theatre will take to the stage on Friday, April 14 and Saturday, April 15.

Performances of Matilda will take place at 5pm and 7pm on both days.

Rising Stars Musical Theatre has links to RAMTC Productions – a revival of Ripley and Alfreton Musical Theatre Company, which closed in July last year.

The youth musical theatre group is currently enrolling for its next two productions, set to take place in July and December.

Rising Stars Musical Theatre is suitable for those aged between six and 18 years old.

Classes take place at Studio 7 Dance Studio, in Horsley Woodhouse, on Friday nights between 6pm and 8pm.
