Annual parish meeting for Derbyshire village

Tuesday, May 14, is the date for this year’s Annual Parish Meeting hosted by Tibshelf Parish Council.
A spokesman for the council said: “Tibshelf Parish Council are organising the Annual Parish Meeting on behalf of the community.
“This stand-alone meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at 7pm in Tibshelf Village Hall.
“Come along for tea, coffee, wine and nibbles and listen to local groups and the Parish Council present annual reports.”
They added: “You can also ask questions or make statements on anything in the village. This is also a chance to see the Village Hall’s new floor.”


In the official notice about the meeting, councillor Allison Beckett, Chairman of Tibshelf Parish Council said: “The Annual Assembly Meeting for the Parish of Tibshelf will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at 7pm in Tibshelf Village Hall and is convened in accordance with Schedule 12 of the Local Government Act 1972.
“The order of business will be: 1 Appointment of Clerk to the Meeting. 2. To confirm the Minutes of the Annual Assembly Meeting held on May 16, 2023 as a correct record.
“3. Annual Budget and Precept for the Financial Year April 2024 to March 2025. 4. Annual Report. 5. Local group reports. 6. To consider any other Parish matter that may be brought forward by the Council or local government electors. 7. CPR and Defib presentation.’
Cllr Beckett added: “The public are entitled to be present, but such persons only as are registered as local government electors for Tibshelf will be allowed to vote at the meeting.”
