A public consultation which is currently being carried out by Amber Valley Borough Council is focusing on polling in the area.
And residents across the borough have until March 4 to have their say.
A spokesman for the council said: “Our next polling review has formally started and is scheduled to be completed before January 31, 2025.
“The aim of the review is to: Ensure, as far as practicable, an equal electorate for member representation; Review polling stations to ensure they are fit for purpose, and if not, identify suitable alternatives; and Ensure all polling stations are accessible for all electors.
“As part of this first stage, residents are invited to comment on the existing scheme. If you think it’s appropriate, you can suggest changes to polling district boundaries or alternative proposals for polling places. Please also give reasons for the changes you have suggested, note that changes to ward, parish or parish ward, county division, or constituency boundaries are not covered by this review.”
The spokesman continued: “Any comments or representations you wish to make should be received by March 4, 2024.
“All comments or representations should be sent to: Electoral Services, Amber Valley Borough Council, Town Hall, Market Place, Ripley. DE5 3BT.
“If you prefer you can email your comments or representations to elections@ambervalley.gov.uk.”
