Pupils from a Derbyshire school have been out and about encouraging road safety in their community.
The initiative, which was organised by Derbyshire Police, saw youngsters from Glebe Junior School in South Normanton acting as ‘mini police.’
A spokesman for Alfreton Police SNT said on Wednesday (February 14): “Over the past two weeks the mini police students from Glebe Junior School, South Normanton have been learning about road safety.
“Today the Mini Police students have been out painting “look up” signs on the pavements to remind people to look up from their phones before crossing the road.”
