A public inquiry into a proposal to build a large solar farm in Alfreton has drawn to a close.
The inquiry was held after Kronos appealed Amber Valley Borough Council’s decision to reject its application to build a solar farm spanning 75 hectares on land at Hall Farm, off Church Street.
The inquiry – held at the Post Mill Centre in South Normanton – heard from a number of different parties, including representatives for Kronos, Alfreton Park Community Special School and Save Alfreton Countryside.
It was streamed online and members of the public were able to attend the inquiry, which ended on Wednesday (November 2).
A number of documents relating to the inquiry – including the closing submissions of Kronos, Amber Valley Borough Council and Save Alfreton Countryside – are available to view online here.
The Planning Inspector will now consider all of the evidence heard during the inquiry and will publish a decision regarding the application at a later date.
