A new planning application seeks permission to build flats on land close to The Hub in South Normanton.
The application, submitted to Bolsover District Council, is for land to the rear of 9B Lees Lane, off Shiners Way.
The land is currently vacant.

The application seeks permission to build a two-storey apartment block, comprising of five two-bedroom flats and two one-bedroom flats.
A document attached to the planning application says: “Development of the site for residential use will provide a positive long-term contribution to the local economy from the residents occupying the properties and a short-term contribution from people working on the site during the construction phase.
“The project will provide work for a number of people.”
