Staff from the David Nieper Academy in Alfreton have been taking primary school children out for a river walk trip.
Miss Flynn at the academy said: “I recently spent the afternoon with Stonebroom Primary School’s Year 3 class.
“Working in groups, pupils collected data on the width, depth, and speed of the river.
“I was very impressed with how well the class worked together, their problem-solving skills, and their fantastic geographical knowledge.
“There was time left at the end to play in the river and build a dam.
“We look forward to welcoming Mrs Marshall on David Nieper Academy’s river field trip with our Year 10 geographers in April.”
