Derbyshire County Council is recruiting for a number of vacancies in our local area, with roles available in Alfreton, Swanwick and South Normanton.
Here’s our round-up of some of the jobs you can apply for today:
Part-time Care Worker – Rowthorne Home for Older People in Swanwick
Hours: 17 hours and 10 minutes per week
Salary: Hourly rate of between £10.98 and £11.18. Enhanced hourly rate for working between 7pm and 7am of between £14.64 and £14.90
Main responsibilities include supporting people with personal care, domestic tasks, medication and health related activities; ensuring the safeguarding of vulnerable adults; and providing support to help meet social and independent needs.

Part-time Catering Assistant – David Nieper Academy in Alfreton
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: £9,407.52 per annum
The job advert says: “You will be supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas of the service. This may involve working at a production unit or at a servery unit. Possible tasks include foor preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance and preparing the dinner room for service.”

Part-time Caretaker – South Normanton Nursery School
Hours: 27 hours per week
Salary: £15,1486.48 per annum
Main duties will include opening and closing the school, cleaning and carrying out daily checks.

Part-time Social Worker – Polygon Centre in Alfreton
Hours: 29 hours and 36 minutes per week
Salary: Grade 9 – 11
Applicants will require a BA Honours in Social Work and current Social Work England registration.

Part-time Administrator – Occupational Health in Alfreton
Hours: 22 hours per week
Salary: £22,369 – £24,054 per annum (pro rata)
Based at Alfreton Fire Station, the successful applicant will support the Occupational Health Department will all aspects relating to medical and fitness appointments.
