Amber Valley Borough Council is recruiting for a Markets and Town Centre Officer at Alfreton Indoor Market.

The post is part-time – 18.5 hours per week, split over two days.

The successful applicant will work at Alfreton Indoor Market, Amber Valley Borough Council’s HQ in Ripley and other town centres in the borough.

The job advert says: “Our Housing and Growth Service is seeking an enthusiastic and reliable person to work directly at Alfreton Indoor Market and within the Amber Valley town centres, to deliver the market facilities to the public and administer this frontline service.

“The successful applicant will work under their own initiative delivering the service at Alfreton Indoor Market and assisting traders and customers in the daily operations. The post holder will need to ensure the market is a clean and suitable environment for traders and members of the public and ensure the smooth running of the market, responding to any issues as they arise.

“In addition, the post holder is responsible for events and managing promotional activities within the four market towns of the Amber Valley.”
