This week is National Apprenticeship Week – and we’re celebrating by highlighting the opportunities that are on offer locally.
Among them is the trainee sewing machinist apprenticeship at David Nieper in Alfreton.
The company offers the Level 3 Garment Maker apprenticeship which takes two years to complete.
It provides apprentices with the knowledge of the ‘end-to-end’ process required to make a garment from the initial concept to the finished product – design, pattern development, sampling, cutting, sewing and final checks.
The apprenticeship is full time. Working hours are between 7am and 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am until 12pm on Fridays.
You can find out more information – including how to apply for the trainee sewing machinist apprenticeship – here.
If you are offering an apprenticeship in the DE55 postcode area, please send us the details via Tell Us Your News or to editor.spiritofalfreton@gmail.com.
