Calling all former pupils and staff of Woodbridge Junior School in Alfreton.
A 70th birthday celebration of the school is taking place at the Grange Street venue tomorrow – Saturday, October 14.
The event, which will run from 2pm until 6pm, is set to include guided tours of the school, a display of old photographs, log books and more, as well as a programme of musical performances. Plus refreshments will be on offer for visitors.
A spokesman for the school said: “Calling all former pupils and staff. We would like to invite you to come and celebrate Woodbridge’s 70th birthday on Saturday, October 14, from 2pm until 6pm at the school.
“Meet up with former classmates and teachers, share your memories and reminisce with others.
“Browse through our collection of photographs, log books and other archive material.”
They added: “Bring along your photos and contribute your memories to our archive, have a look around the school, and enjoy tea, coffee and refreshments.
“We would love to meet you and for you to help us celebrate 70 years of this much-loved school.”
The celebration is set to include a host of musical performances from ‘What A Wonderful World’ to ‘Fur Elise’ as well as, of course a mass ‘Happy Birthday’ singalong.
