From time to time firearm or shotgun certificate holders will wish to surrender their certified weapons.
In order to help this process, Derbyshire Constabulary has introduced an online process to ensure that its enquiry office staff are ready and able to receive the weapons.
Firearm/shotgun certificate holders, or families who may be dealing with their estate, can now make arrangements via the force’s website.
This process should NOT be used by anyone finding a firearm. In these situations police would ask that any of the following contact methods are used:
• Facebook– send a private message to /DerbyshireConstabulary
• Twitter– direct message the contact centre on @DerPolContact
• Phone – call 101.
Or in an emergency call 999
