A new planning application seeks permission to convert part of a former Alfreton High Street bakery into bedsit.
The application, submitted to Amber Valley Borough Council, is for 78 High Street, formerly home to Hill’s Bakery.
It seeks permission to convert the former bakery into a house of multiple occupancy made up of seven bedsits.
According to a document submitted as part of the application, the High Street shop front would be retained along with a small commercial space.
The rest of the building would be converted, with one bedsit located on the ground floor behind the commercial space. The rest would be upstairs, off of a shared hallway.
Access to the bedsits would be provided via Central Road.
The planning application does not say what the commercial space will be used for.
